Boni Piper, MS. Spiritual Formation Director, Faculty, graduate of Seattle Pacific University’s Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy program, has been a psychotherapist for over 20 years. She attended the Reformed Presbyterian seminary in PA, and is a graduate of the CFDM Spiritual Direction program. Boni is a Bible study leader, spiritual director and retreat speaker.

TT  Reverend Terry Tripp, Spiritual Guidance Director, Faculty, is an ordained pastor in the PCUSA Church. She served as Associate Pastor at BelPres for 12 years in the area of pastoral care and spiritual formation. She also has been a spiritual director for ten years, having received her training through the CFDM ministry. She brings a depth of intimacy with God and herself as she teaches spiritual formation and guidance ministry.

Margie Van Duzer, DMin in Leadership and Spiritual Formation. Faculty. Margie is a spiritual director, retreat teacher and adjunct professor of Spiritual Formation at SPU. She has been in the spiritual direction ministry for over twenty years where she has provided guidance to individuals, supervised spiritual directors and led in spiritual formation for individuals, groups and churches.

Gwen Shipley, Spiritual Director, Faculty. A former worship minister, Gwen’s focus has widened to include the study and practices of spiritual formation and direction. She has participated in CFDM’s Formation 1 and 2 programs and completed the Spiritual Direction Certificate Program. She lives in rural Yakima surrounded by family where she writes, teaches and practices spiritual direction. Gwen is a Daniel Plan wellness program facilitator. She and her husband attend East Valley Reformed Church where she volunteers in the food pantry.

Reverend Mona Chicks, Formation I Alum, an ordained American Baptist pastor, currently serves in a non-pastoral position at a Presbyterian church coordinating and supporting prayer and formation ministries.

Mark Cutshall graduated from CFDM NW’s Spiritual Direction Program in May of ’16.  He is a professional writer and member of Bethany Presbyterian Church in Seattle.  He has been married to Linda for twenty-seven years and is father to Ryan and Sara.

David Hicks, M.Div. Pastor, Spiritual Director, CFDM Faculty. David has been a Free Methodist pastor in the Pacific Northwest for the past 36 years. He currently serves as the Interim Sr. Pastor at First Free Methodist Church in Seattle, the campus church for Seattle Pacific University. He has served as a retreat leader, spiritual director, and pastor to pastors. David first went through the CFDM formation program in 2009 and has since served as faculty for both the formation and the direction programs. He lives in Snohomish with his wife of 38 years.

Shelly Morse, Shelly recently completed CFDM’s Spiritual Direction Certificate Program. She is passionate about the formation program and has taken both Spiritual Formation 1 and 2. Shelly loves being involved in many local and global non-profit agencies and is on the advisory board for CFDM. She attends Grace Seattle.
